Edie, after seeing your work, I am sure it will turn out beautiful even if wonky. Sometimes I like wonky.

Mount it on a stretched canvas (on point) and call it "Art"...

careful what ya say Eddie, i stood too close to a yellow jacket nest and i learned a new dance step that day. and once i was patched up, the family re-enacted the dance for me. and now my children and they for the grandkids!!

Funny! But we all know how capable Eddie is so won't be surprised with a gorgeous finished product, despite his frustrations.

Is it a customers quilt? If so you gotta finish it. If it is yours, you can leave it. Just take it off, and put on something you would like to do. Either way, it will be over sooner than you think. Good luck.

Yes, a customer's quilt. I'm almost done, only about another 12" to go!

If its vintage, you may have trouble with it. Have you tried to stabelize it with muslin and go from there? You might be able to square it up on muslin, just one block at a time. Otherwise, its unsew and resew time. Hope it works out for you

I worked months and months and months and even more on a quilt and it was made with individual blocks (that is what i learnt at this course). Oh my gosh if ONLY I HAD KNOWN about the strips and cutting. Why they did not teach us that in the first place, i do not know, i still to this day have a shoe box of 2 1/2" blocks - LEFT OVERS from this quilt.............grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr But i can still use them, so that is a plus. Anyway, i am running away from the story. I eventually got so sick of this, that i put it away. Fortunately i have completed all the different blocks. About 4 years later i heard from my professional quilter that they do (unwanted/unfinished cupboard quilts) This reminded me of that quilt and i quickly took it out and they finished it off for me. IT IS NOW PROUDLY displayed on my bed.

Maybe you should do the same. Hope this story helps!
