    They have come out with a se400, which can hook up directly to the computer via usb. Haven't figured out much other than that as noone has one yet... I'm looking into getting the 400, but can't figure out if I would still need the basic or if its even needed if you can hook up to the computer without it though.

    According to the websites I have looked at you wouldn't need the PED basic with the SE400 machine. Good price too!

    Thats what I was hoping... took ALOT of begging on my part to talk hubby into it since he's trying to build me a sewing room right now too, and would really hate to get it then say sorry honey, I need something else for me to get more designs :wink: Thanks for the help on that one.
