Second thought. I'm sure I have some. Send me your name and address and will send them when I unpack. Will you pay postage?

I believe I have lots of them to get rid of. If you will pay for postage, they are yours. Please email me back and let me know if you want them. All sizes and kinds...... I collected them as well and now I want them gone to someone else. I hate throwing things out. I'll let you know how many I have when I hear back from you.

I know that some of mine are from 1960 or earlier.
Some belonged to a deceased sister and it is hard for me to part with them. One has an old needle still in it that belonged to her. Both hers and mine still have thread on them. Someday someone will throw them in the trash when I am gone, but in meantime, they stay put on her thread dolly and in my thread box. No reason for keeping them except they are old and so am I.

i think a lot of us save them too, i have mine in big gallon jars and have put some mini ones into the ball blue caning jars. I save all plastic ones as well, into old
mayo jars. At years end, I count up how many are in a box that I used for the year and distribute them to the jars.

I have saved and collected most anything related to quilting. Got all my grandma's old stuff.

I have cut the wooden spools in half on my band saw and used them as decoration on hand-made needle holders. They can also be used as drawer pulls in your sewing room, or glued on to the tops of jar lids as a handle.

I have old bobbins in an old jar as well. I have put a lot of my old wooden spools on a cord and I use them as a garland. I have quite a few, can't let go of them though.

I love the old spools especially the ones with the paper still on the ends. I found one in my thread box with the price of .15 on it. I will save this.
