Thanks everyone ... I finally got her out of the box and set up, I haven't had time to do any sewing as we have a few calfs coming and had to be out in the barn for that, but will try for tomorrow.. Hope I can figure out how to run it..Monday I will call for some classes on how it works..

there was a USB cord in with all the stuff, don't know what that is for..will have to ask...I posted a picture in the picture section so you can see my new toy..

I am so happy for you! I bought a "new to me" machine last year and the first thing I did was post about it on the board. I knew everyone would understand my excitement. I hope you have hours and hours of fun with your new machine and I can't wait to see you post pics of your new projects.

Good for you getting what you wanted and enjoying it! Wishing you the very best of many hours of sewing and quilting enjoyment!
After going to two different dealers and looking at the Janome 8900 and sewing on it , I decided to go to one more dealer, this one was 72 mile from our house and after speaking to the dealer on the phone I really liked her and felt good about this dealer. When we got there and was looking around I notice she also sold Brother machines, I ask which was the better machine, she said they were both great machines the 8900 Janome and the DreamCreator VQ2400 Brother. The brother had a few things that were a little different on it then the Janome. One thing that I really notice was the light on the Brother it was so bright, now the Janome had a good light too but the Brothers was brighter. I also liked the walking foot with it's own motor in it and a few other things and seem it is very user friendly..

Well make a long story short, I bought the Brother V series VQ2400..I paid 2699.00 and they gave me the extension table for half price and boy is it big 25 wide x 16 deep, the Janome 8900 was 2299.00 and that one came with the table... but I really like the Brother and am happy that I got it, just hope I have good luck with it...

Again thanks to everyone that helped me decide which machine to buy..
Good for you getting the machine you wanted! Wishing you many hours and fun of quilting and sewing pleasure!
