Are you sure it is wax? You could freeze them, it solidifiys the wax and then just use your fingernail and scrape it off. I can't think of a wax tart! If it is some kids of glue stuff, you can use goo be gone. Look at the label you might be able to use it on wax also.

toenails!! Ugh!! I was going to use them to cut his throat, but thought nah! They're ruined, probably won't cut anything now. Only ever happened the once!!

I'm positive it's wax. A wax tart is kind of like a scented candle, without the wick - it goes in a warmer. So my scissors smell pretty anyway.

I think I would try the freezer. It will probably just pop off. You do that with gum and that has to be stickier than the wax. Or set an icecube on it for a while then just pop it off. You may still need to scrape it with something like a credit card that won't scratch.

Luckily, I bought and labeled different scissors around the house for kitchen, desk, and catbox. So far, my DH has never grabbed my scissors.

I put ribbon on ANY scissors that were OFF LIMITS to kids and DH. Well, kids are grown and have families of their own. I had to laugh the other day when my DH asked if he could use the "DOLLAR STORE" scissors. Geesch! I must have be a fanatic abt my scissors way back then. lol !

Not only does the family not touch my scissors, DH even asks permission to use my skrew drivers :D They all act like they are scared to death to come into my studio. Maybe it is the sign that says "unless you are a quilter this room is hazardus to your heath and could cause death. DO NOT ENTER!

Yup! I told my crew that my Gingers were for FABRIC ONLY...and I don't recall how many years ago that was, but I'm still using the same pair...and for fabric only! :)
