My DH cut Sheet metal with my good sewing shears. Then He used my expensive pinking shears to cut plaster wrap for piping. His mother made him buy me a new pair for Christmas after she found out.

My first ex used them to cut electrical wire right in front of my face. I had previously asked him to respect them PLEASE. When I confronted him about it, he told me to take a flying f*** and did it anyway. And he wonders why he is an ex.

I know something happened at one time because now I have l5-20" strips of fabric attached to warn everyone to stay away from them!

When first married I warned my husband - under penalty of death or at least a broken arm. My kids have just grown up knowing that you don't touch mom's sewing supplies without asking. I never had a problem. Always bought them Fiskar kids scissors b/c those other kids scissors would never cut. I still have the Fiskars that my grandmother gave me when I was like 16 or 18, somewhere around there. Oh, been happily married for over 30 yrs, told him so last night.

remember when David Went caught his wife cutting chives with his scissors? Then he posted the update, had a padlock on them so they couldn't be used.

DH used mine to cut fiberglass insulation, then told me it was ridiculous to spend more than $5.00 for scissors, so it served me right.

    HA! I love it!

Now that I've seen it I'm gonna have to ask Susan to make me one. She's oil painter here in town and sometimes she does those cute little painted signs.

Ha ha ha, Tell them REAL men can tear the duct tape with their bare hands!

Seriously, I'm enjoying this thread. The worst my scissors ever saw was being used to trim the dog!
