Loved the Baby Lock Crescendo and only traded it up for the Unity to add large embroidery. Can't be beat and has amazing throat space and lighting. They frequently run promo financing.

Thanks so much for all the great advice. I will 'slow down' and do some more shopping before I buy. I really enjoy reading the Quilting Board columns, you guys are great!

I have a Baby Lock Jane, it is not good for fmq. Also do not like the way it threads and the bobbin holder under the machine. I also have a Viking Sapphire 830 that is my main machine. 10 in throat but still not big enough. But love this machine for everything else.
What I really would like to have is at least an 18 in throat machine on my long arm table.
Or a large hoop embroidery machine for quilting blocks in a quilt.
Both are too expensive for me so only make small quilts up to lap size and send out anything larger to a long armer.

    Cool

I have a Juki Exceed 600 which I love for piecing & FMQ. I love the feed dogs, the large throat & that it sews through thick fabrics. I'm very pleased with this machine which I purchased last Christmas. It also came with the extension table. I use the slider & quilting gloves when I FMQ.

    Thanks, Marilee
