If you ran a contest on the title, how about Portrait quilts? I would want to be in the contest for a copy of book. Can't wait to see the instructions!

You didn't ask but this technique appears so different from the old stained glass quilts and actual stained glass that you might want an original name for your method that will keep it from being classified with the older books. The creative people that have been posting here will surely have ideas.

Run a contest--'name this method' and give the winner a first edition.
    Great idea - any suggestions?

number 2. I didn't understand what you were doing with number one, but I really got it on 2. Can't wait - I really would love to learn how to make something like that! Virg

What about these for front and back?

The puppy pic, I just don't have the pattern/quilt done yet, but she will be one of the generic patterns included in the book. On the book back cover, I would actually put the quilt pic, not the real photo.

Your quilts look like fun to do and I wish you bunches of success with this publication.
Yeah, the dots were kinda distracting, but it was what I could work with on this computer.

I would do the full photo in the quilted aspect and then add the full photo in the corner to show the before and after! Love it BTW!

Yes I would be drawn to that more than the other 2.

I don't have a suggestion yet but the top comment was what I was thinking as I read through all the posts. I do like #6 and the last one (#7 perhaps?) but, having done some stained glass both in glass and fabric, I don't think I would call this method stained glass. Just cannot come up with a better suggestion at the moment. Anyway, I also would buy the book when it is published. As the saying goes "You go, girl".
