Would like to see pix of mug rugs
I have been having so much fun making mug rugs, would love to see what others are doing. Even if they aren't used for mugs, they are adorable litle quilts. Please post pictures if you can

I made a few for some special people in my life just the other day, all various ages. One likes Batman, one likes Star Wars, one is just a little girl. On one side for the kid ones is white fabric that glows in the dark. Hope they think they are cool. I also made little cup rugs to match. One pic shows one side and second pic the other side.
Also, if you put mug rugs into the search box here you will find several posts and threads where folks made some or were in a swap. :-)

Here are a couple I made last week
I'd never heard of mugrugs till about a year ago and just recently starting trying my hand at some. I am a miniaturist hence the small piecing

I made this one for my sister. The mug says "don't drink and quilt". I made the block to match the one on the mug (which has a mistake on purpose. lol)

I made this one for my other sister. I used a rubber stamp to make a pattern on paper (the stamp is a solid petal) and then cut it out and pinned it to my fabric.

Well there are 36 blocks with 3 strips per block and then 18 strips on the sides - that's the Ripple one - 126
The star point has 24 blocks with 3 per block so - 72
But because I use my shortcut methods I don't handle all those in tiny pieces. the tiny pieces happen within the cut down method.

i thought i'd find a mug rug category in the Quilt Gallery [found under the Pictures forum] and was surprised that we don't have that category. do we need a new category, cat-on-a-mac?
