Default Would love to have your ideas for naming our quilt guild....

I am so excited to be a part of a brand new guild beginning this month. Our first meeting the end of the month and we need a name. We will be doing some donation quilts, having some classes, and mostly the fun of being together. So, what's the name of your guild. I would like to have an idea or two to bring to the meeting.
    Thanks for your great ideas.
    Sandy

We have a quild in our area, though I don't no anything more about them then that. I don't even know if they have a name! However I think I great one would be Cozy by design. Or Quilted by design. Cozy just sounds more comfy.

Where I live is the Limestone capital of the world, or so the sign says as you enter town. Limestone comes from huge Quarry's, the Guild here is called Quarry Quilters. Have fun naming yours.

Our group is called "Texas Hills Quilters".

All of the guilds around here seem to have a name that ends with "Quilt Guild" or at least has "Quilt" or "Quilters" in the name (Santiam Scrappers Quilt Guild, Mid-Valley Quilt Guild, Mary's River Quilt Guild, Emerald Valley Quilters, Northwest Quilters, etc.) It helps to have a name that positively identifies you to non-quilters, and I think it also helps if the name refers (even obliquely) to your locale.

If you look at this site you can see the names of other guilds in Ohio - http://www.quiltguilds.com/ohio.htm

    sweetpea; good idea. Thanks.
I did look up the guilds in Ohio but mostly so that we don't duplicate. Nothing jumped out at me as a unique descriptive name, tho.

Ah! I grew up in Delaware County, went to BV! Wish I were there now!
How about Jug Quilters? Valley Quilters? Buckeye Bees?

Material Witness my grandchildren go to BV. Thanks for the ideas. I will definately present them. However, not all in the group will be BV families. Jug Quilters is funny, gives me a real wild picture....jugs. Most don't know about the Brown Jug and may think we are advertising for something else. ha
