I made my DGD a twin size quilt when she was small not knowing that she would later have a day bed with metal scrowlwork head & foot ends. I now wish I had put a hanging sleeve on so she could hang it, instead of it being put away where she never gets to see or use it.

I made small Christmas quilts and put pillow backings on them as well as a hanging sleeve. I hang mine. My Mom puts one of her sofa cushions in hers for the holiday season, then she can empty it and store it nice and flat with the decorations. I think the hanging sleeve is a great idea, especially for a baby or small quilt.
