    Larger room most definitely! You will be surprised at how quickly it fills up!

    I'd definitely go with the larger room and provide additional lighting for it. Good luck on your choice.

    Go with the bigger room. Add lamps for additional lighting. You can never have enough room for quilting fabric/stash!! Think big.

    I agree with lower level for your main sewing area. You may want to use the upstairs room at times too. My DM had her quilting frames set up, up stairs. She did her sewing downstairs!

    I agree. Use both. Take the upstairs for the sewing and peicing room. and take downstairs for fabric storage and quilting . this can be done if you have more than one machine. if you can only have one then I say go with the larger of the two. you can always make more light in a room than space.

    I've gone large :shock: and I don't miss the natural light bc I cover my stash shelves anyway!
    Sounds like the lower level is more convenient too!
