Just wondering if you would ever use fabric with gold metallic and fabric with silver metallic, together in the same project.

Don't know why not - they mix them in jewelry

As long as it coordinates with the other fabrics...SURE! I actually like gold/silver together.

Almost never ! I find it tough to mix the two. The gold in most metalics is so over powering to the silver. Most silver metalics are blue( winter type) , a few purple, and a couple black... so the base fabrics make it limiting. I would love to see a combo metalic with both I think it would make it easier to combine . The ultimate would have sliver, gold and a copper colored metalic ... a girl can dream !
I actually experimented with some Moda Marbles and fabric paint .. did a spatter style paint in metalics of the three. It got me the results I was looking for ... just messy process.

I would for a Christmas themed project. Reminds me of the song sung by Burl Ives, "Silver and Gold."

I think it would have to depend on how it looks together. Sometimes you can have too much of a good thing. You will know when you look at it. Go with your instincts.

Nope, but I don't mix gold and silver jewelry either.

I don't think I would in a quilt. Unless of course the fabrics worked well together.
