Make mittens! Felted, or shrunk wool makes the very best mittens.

Glad you went back and got it. I too love wool, been collecting for awhile. I love all the ideas here for using blankets, sweaters and wool jackets. A friend here in Idaho dyes wool clothing for applique, changes the whole look. She also buys yardage and dyes it and sells it to our LQS and at quilt shows. I have a ton of pool felt, different colors from leftover pieces from redoing pool tables. Made a crazy patch tote with decorative stitches. It has a different feel than felted wool.

If nothing else, you can put it in your trunk as a "just in case" blanket...unexpected picnics, putting on chains, stuck on the interstate in the snow and you're cold!

Yes, even if you couldn't use it, someone on this board would have gladly paid you for it. Felted wool is popular right now.

I probably wouldn't have bought it because it is red; I have used wool before for other things though. Yum, your upside down cake looks really good!

After felting, it is now the size 44" x 56" I will try to post some pics of it tomorrow, when I get some help from my daughter. I would like to make a couple of pincushions, but other than that I may not need it all. It really is a pretty red, and I may be interested in unloading some of it. I only paid $2.99 for it so I am not looking to make big profits, however if I don't need it all I would be willing to share it. I will keep you posted.

Would the Shout Color Catcher work with Red Wool? I found an offer to receive one sheet of it via snail-mail, but I have not used it yet. I saw several posts here tooting praise for it.
