    I love to do the bindings myself. After some practicing its not difficult anymore. I learned it by watching movies on you tube. :) I prefer to cut the bindings myself. I love to do that because after it's done the quilt is finally finished all by myself.

    I love to do the binding so I do my own. It gives me something to do in the evenings.

    Penny an inch seems pretty cheap. If it's a 60" square quilt, that's like $2.40. I want at least $10 for my time :-D
    Maybe she charges a penny per square inch of the quilt, so a 6x60 would cost $36 ... that seems more likely.

    Take a look at this. It may help you. I also like to do the binding, but she has quilted some tops for me. This how she makes a liveing, and people go to her for what thay can not or don't like to do.
