Where did you hear about the class? That's something I would be interested in. Have not seen one offered locally. Please advise.

I would not take an expensive machine on an airplane. As long as the Nina at the shop has the same throat size as yours and is close in design, I believe that the setup for FMQ will be identical. Have fun.

I was surfing the net looking for a class around the time of my birthday when I ran across this class.

I posted the link earlier. Here is it again. There are only four more openings.

As expensive as Bernina's are I don't think I would want to take the chance on shipping it. If you want a good FMQ sewing machine I recommend the Juki. I have a Juki 98Q and Love, Love, Love it!

I would not FLY anyplace to take a class with someone that will not respond to my email questions. I would expect them to help me get a machine to use ( not rent ) for the class. You should be able to find something closer to home save the money and put it toward a new machine.

When I took my McTavishing class at MQX this year, I used the machine provided to us which was totally unfamiliar to me (the Janome Horizon). I didn't find it to be an issue when I got back home to my own machine. The technique is really what you're learning, right? Seems like renting the machine would be easier for you, so I'd say, go for it.

Wow. I would love this opportunity, but #1, it's out of my price range and #2, we have a family reunion every year in October. That is a wonderful way to spend your birthday!
