I thought it was that one rose was toward the inside -- I agree that it is like the puzzle in the sunday funnies where you have to pick out the 2 that are alike. I never can figure them out either

Frankly, I like it just the way it is

I agree with Ladyjanedoe - even when someone has pointed out a slight boo boo - it has been said with kindness and although the comment might sting a little in the long run I think it will be appreciated.

I posted a quilt op here of a D9P and someone pointed out one of my blocks was rotated the wrong way. And I was SO happy they caught it before I started quilting it.

I guess if they know before they quilt it is GREAT....if it's after it's quilted and done, I probably wouldn't say anything. As there wouldn't be anything they could really do about it.

But I feel like people are here to help me, that's why I post things, I don't think any of us are here to tear one another down. That's what's so nice about this board, we're here to help and encourage.

    Just my opinion. :)

A few weeks ago, someone posted a photo of a quilt, and I noticed one block was 180 degrees off. It really stood out to me, probably because I had done a quilt with the same pattern just before seeing this photo. But, I didn't want to comment on it ... just seemed, I don't know, kind of nit-picky?

But, then I was thinking, if I knew a quilt had a flaw, but I figured no one would notice, I'd really want to know if someone DID notice.

    What do you all think?
I would want to know too. Even if you pm me to let me know. It is better to know so I can try to fix it before giving the quilt away to some one special.
I just had that problem with my last quilt when the whole row was upside down. It was fixed before I finished quilting it, so when the child gets it I will feel alright knowing he will love it.

YES - I would want to know if there is a glaring error before the quilting is done. After the quilting - no. I would like to hear the information privately and kindly. Then I can decide whether to change it or not.

    Excellent question!

Welllll, I never did discern a mistake in your lovely quilt, luvs2quilt, even when someone said it was in the lower left hand corner.... It's perfect--ly lovely!

I would want to know, I'm pretty particular and things like that would bother me if I had goofed up....

Being a trying to conform perfectionist, I would probably already know there was a mistake. My luck would be that someone found one I hadn't noticed and that would upset me and I'd probably never display my quilts again. I figure that if a quilt is displayed without mention of asking for advice the quilter is proud of their sewing and is looking for confirmation that a good job has been done. Pointing out mistakes even when done to be helpful should be done in private.

Mad Quilter said it best...Most people will search for the flaw, but as you see in luv's to quilt 301 picture , I cannot find the flaw! I'd still want to know if anyone noticed it.

Oh My!!! I never noticed! It's such a beautiful quilt! I wouldn't have thought anything else otherwise. If I were to tell someone I would send them a PM if I had the nerve to tell them. I would hate to hurt their feelings though. Same with me...I am new at this and it is hard to take critism sometimes......especially if you know you've worked really hard and did what you thought was right. I have had someone correct me on my corners before, I have seen worse! I took it with a grain of salt and just knew they were trying to help me. I know that I am getting better as time goes on though, well I like to think so anyway! LOL
