Exactly what I do .... though I fold mine with the backside out.

Then I Best Press some fabric, cut some Jelly Roll strips and put them around the width and length, meeting in the centre at the top for a simple shoelace style bow.

If you want more work (and expense!) ... make a coordinating bag that the quilt can be stored in, toted in .... or can just be used to carry things for the baby when on the go.

I roll my quilts up and secure them with tule ribbon. You can find 4inch tule ribbon in rolls at Joanns. Makes for a really pretty presentation.

I usually have some material left over from the quilt or binding.. I either roll them up or fold them neatly and tie with some of the remaining fabric strips

I use a receiving blanket or have bought a 3 yards of tulle and put quilt down in the center and pull up the ends and gather. Tie with curling ribbon and add a rubber ducky or pacifier to the bow.

I buy tissue paper by the bulk. Large bags. I like to use the paper in this manner and also for paper-piecing! The papers are usually 30x30"

When I give a baby quilt as shower gift I put it in a very nice quilted tote bag. I like Vera Bradley's totes. It's a great gift for mom and baby.

I made a little bag for a very special baby quilt. I used the left-over fabric and blocks from the quilt. Pat.

Or to put toys, jammies, etc in for later when they do an overnighter at Grammies. Or a laundry bag.
