    I just finished a piece with set in or "Y" seams and I used some Elmers Washable School Glue to hold the seam in place so the fabric wouldn't stretch or walk out of place as I sewed. Marking the 1/4" mark is important and being sure you fold the fabric out of the way of any stitching in that corner.
