I have just finished my first D9P and am hooked. Am wanting to make a queen size as a wedding gift to my niece. I want 5" squares. I want to make the "X" part of the patch with colors and the 4 outside areas with light, semi solid colors. I don't have a clue regarding the yardage for this project. I thought about the 5""Charm Packs" but have not been able to find the exact mix of colors.........Would love to have some input. /

This will help you determine how many total squares you need based on the size you want. Then you need to decide how many fabrics and do a little math to figure out how many to cut of each. If you figure out how big you want it, post about it and I can try to help you figure out how much of each fabric you need.
