Those are awesome!! I just made this one for my niece. The backing is a soft yellow too.

I have two. The first one I call my excercise in ''Y' seams, which was challenging to learn.
And the second is the 'Loco Log Cabin' which was a lot of fun and the third quilt I ever made.

Plenty of yellow around here too. I'm planning to make a yellow wholecloth for a friend's baby soon.
Here is the backing fabric (I know, not usual to have a printed flannel as the back, but why not), with a small piece of the fabric that will be the front, and another fabric I was trialling for the binding. Although I may well do a knife-edge to be authentic. I had terrible trouble sourcing that yellow fabric, there really aren't that many yellows around and I had to match it to the owl flannel. I wouldn't have had that sort of trouble with blues, which points out how much less popular yellow is.

The fabric in the plinth is a near-solid metallic gold rather than yellow. It may not stand out, but the goddess' skin is also yellow. Surprisingly, it was a very traditional colour for women's skin in Egyptian art. Mind you, occasionally you would see gods with green skin...

So, please help me love yellow. Show me your quilts!
Thanks! My favorite color is blue. ;)

I don't know how I missed this thread! I had to look at every quilt and they're all beautiful. I haven't made any with yellow being the focus color mostly because I don't have much in my mom's stash, but here's a pic of the quilt my great grandma made for my mom when she was a girl. All the flowers are appliqued in and it's a little worse for wear so is currently in a cedar chest waiting for another rainy day to dust so I can pull it out and just look at it before rolling it back up and storing for another rainy day

And here are some of mine...
There is a lot of orange but also a lot of yellow in the sunflowers!

Orange to yellow batiks.

Though it looks as if this is orange, it really is yellow!! And the border has yellow squares amid the blue.

Again, this looks mostly orange though it has yellow as well.
