I adore yellow's in bits and pieces. It doesn't take a whole lot of yellow to make a statement. Most of the quilts that "read" yellow have a lovely assortment of coordinating fabrics. In some, you don't even realize the yellow is there even though it is a focus fabric.

Lets hear it for yellow!! I like yellow in a block, so cheerful. So many different shades - from buttery cream to sunshine in your face yellow. Goes well with almost any colour - including purple. I just love purple shades and yellow shades together. I did a quilt with shades of purple and yellow, but don't know how to upload it on a comment. Sorry. But I do love alll the quilts shown on these pages, and also really admire the quilters who were able to upload them!!

Oh I realized I have more!!! There is a soft flannel rag quilt I made for a doll, baby quilt with yellow, and a yellow mug rug! I love working with yellow.

And I love making bags with yellow!!! The front of the one bag is orange (I also embroidered it) and then did a patchwork on the back using a cheery yellow.

My neighbor said she was told in quilting class to never use yelow in a quilt but she didn't ask why not. I love yellow because it brings out the color in the other blocks.
