    This mag is one of the few that includes pressing directions - a must in my book. Also gives alternative sizes for some patterns - and best of all, alternative color schemes. After 30 years of quilting, I still learn new things by studying the offerings in this magazine, as well as other BH&G publications, including gardening magazines.

    I've had a subscription for years, along with McCalls Quilting, I like them both... the gotta' make list keeps growing!!!!! As far as the 101 quilting tips.... well, there probably are things in there that are helpful to a beginner ( just my opinion...) I didn't bother keeping it, it's just a leaflet anyway. Alot of the tips there are in the magazines every month.

    The older I get, the less I need and I'm finding magazines are falling in that category. I learn more on this QB than I've ever learned from a quilting magazine!

    I got mine the other day also. But decided I would not get it Every one is pushing now for you to buy, I just dont have extra money to get it. would just as soon buy fabric as mag,

    I dislikewhen you order a magazine and pay for it. They still send you mail to order the same magazine and you have to go back and check to see if you already paid for the year. - J

    Between this one and Mc Calls, it is a toss up for me, I have let all my other subscriptions lapse except these 2.

    I subscribe to this, McCalls and McCalls quick quilts. I like all of them basically because I am so color challenged. I just can't seem to be able to coordinate fabrics. I find lately that I really enjoy the McCalls quick quilts. It seems every issue I get there are 2 or 3 quilts that I really like. I guess because they are quick quilts most of them aren't too challenging. I guess the best way is to do as others say and just buy an issue. I know you will come up with the right answer. Good luck

    I think it is a good magazine if you do alot of piecing. They have easy patterns but they don't include alot of applique info which I do. I got the magazine for several years then cancelled my subscription.

    I enjoy this magazine and have made several quilts from their patterns. I am a relatively new quilter, I suppose if you have been reading quilting mags for 20 years it is probably harder to find things that seem new and interesting. I like to find ideas from many different sources, including this board, other internet sites, and magazines. My only problem with mags is that I can't stand to get rid of them!:)
    I also subscribe to Mc Call's. Like that one, too.
