Mags are just eye candy for me since it is not worth the effort to try and find a pattern in them. Im down to 2 now Fons and Porter and McCalls Quilting.
I look forward to getting them in the mail and looking thru them but then they are filed away.
It is irritating to get renewals constantly when they are no where near due. I keep a list in my checkbook showing when I subscribed.

I think it will be a personal decision on your part, if the magazine has the kind of articles and patterns that you like.
I've been getting Quilters Newsletter for a couple of years and ready to give it up. It has lots of what I call 'fancy, difficult' quilts that I like to look at but have no intention of ever making. I like quick, easy and many times scrappy quilts. So the magazine is a waste of money for me.

I only subscribe to one at a time. I wait for a great deal and then subscribe to it. Get stuff all the time that sounds great. I'm like many of you I love looking but there are way too many quilts I want to make so just keep adding to the list

Oh one additional comment. I don't like paying a 1 or 2 yr subscription and only get 6 issues in 1 yr. Just seems so pricey to me, especially when it is only 'eye candy' as someone expressed. I don't have the finances for that.
I prefer finding all the wonderful free patterns online, and what is shared here and other quilt groups.

There are lots of quilt magazines out there but my favorite is American Patchwork and Quilting. I think it is whatever is your quilting taste and style. I have friends who love other quilting magazines! I think you should use your Joann coupon and buy the magazine a few times to see if it is your kind of quilting. Our Joann's has magazines for 10% off so you can't use your coupon but Hancock accepts competitor's coupons and I buy my quilting magazines there. Hope this helps!

I've had all the quilting mags and I find that this one has the easiest to understand patterns. I like Fons and Porters but I don't always understand what they are trying to do and some of the others are the same. This one is by far my favorite.
