From yesterdays topic on quilting space

This is a very nice room, I have a nice room also and I am always wondering why everyone faces their sewing machine towards the wall. I used to do this before I had my own sewing room but now that the kids & grand-kids are grown and I have my own room. I have turned my machine around to face the window and I like it so much better, the fabric does not bunch up against the wall when I sew and I do not feel so confined.
I am just sharing. I know sometimes we just don't have enough room or ever will have.lol

I noticed the facing the wall thing also! my sewing surface is a big desk that i sat in the middle. My back is to the wall, with a window on my left and a tv on the far wall. I don't like having my back to the door.
