YLI Soft Touch Cotton Thread
I just discovered this thread made by YLI. It's an Egyptian long staple 100 percent cotton in a 60/2 ply. My piecing was great for a baby quilt I just pieced. I used a 70/11 Microtex needle to piece. I was shocked to discover (drum roll please) that my final measurements were the same as the pattern maker's. Never happens for me.
Do you know about this thread? I mean, it's even kinder to me than Aurifil, which I normally use for piecing. I paid $5 for a 1000 yard spool. I feel like I won the lottery. Even with my advancing cataracts I was able to put the quilt together well. I

Thread does make a big difference in piecing. I've been using 60 wt. Presencia. I had been using50 wt and was surprised that going to 60 would make a difference. But it did. Sounds like the YLI is less expensive than the Presencia.
