FQ,
I think a crazy quilt with no internal borders is awesome. Now the practicality of doing one full size can be made easier by still making blocks, abit larger, but not sashing between them. Just take something like 12 x 24 inch muslin, do your Crazy quilt on the muslin but not sewing within an inch of the edge. You then connect all the muslin sub bases, tie down the color fabric crazy quilt stuff over the joints and blend every thing together. I think you will like. It is what I do with all my scraps.

Technically, quilting comes under the category of crafts. So, I am a crafts person. My art is presently in quilting. Why we must quantify our work into a category is a bit disturbing to me. But, so be it. It is just words...quilting is also my message of who I am. Just someone who sews. My enjoyment of inserting a needle and thread into cloth gives me pleasure. I humbly accept that I am just a quilter no matter my talent.

Some quilts I make are all artsy, just sewn together to see how it looks. Some quilts I follow the pattern and make it as perfect as I can. I don't care if I make a masterpiece quilt or an ugly potholder. I quilt how I feel at the time.
