Default You can lift your feed-dogs higher. Janome

I bought a new Janome 11,000SE and found it interesting that I could lift the feed-dogs higher by pressing the lever upwards again. I ended up with 1/2" of space or so. It was in the manual. So I tried it on my old Janome, same thing, works the same!

That would have been very helpful to know when I was sewing my denim purse that I struggled with -- trying to squeeze it under the feed-dogs!

Bottom line? You can fit the bulk of your quilt under the feed-dogs with these machines.

Nice to know. Wonder if it works with the GemGold I bring to classes and retreats.

yes the presser foot raises higher so you can pull down the dual feed feet.
