I sew at least once a week with a friend of mine. For the past 3 days we have sewed together - from 8-2 Thurs & Fri and from 10-8:30 yesterday. We get more done while we are together. We keep each other entertained, help each other when need be and we tend to not get sidetracked or give up on something if we are together...

    I like sewing with others.

Well come on then! There are a few houses for sale in my neighborhood!! Alabama can be quite nice! Just come on!
We met yesterday at the neighborhood clubhouse - we can *rent* it out for free - at least those that live in my development can lol. It is a huge room - although poorly lit in my opinion.... Next time we are bringing desk lamps too. It was a lot of fun. I tell you what if it had curtains or blinds we would totally do an overnighter!

Hubby is taking the boys to a scouting overnighter in the spring... I'm already planning a sleep over sew in!!!

I'm sewing all day today. I'm trying to get this quilt top done so I can start on my Christmas sewing. The only friends that I have helping me are these little critters and to be honest, they aren't pulling their weight around here. They criticize everything I do! LOL!

Whimsey says I'm not cutting my fabric straight...

and Doodle says I'm not keeping my 1/4" seams straight!!

Awww! That is a nice helper!!! Mine only rolls around on the fabric if I'm laying out on the floor.

You look like you have a huge sewing room! So lucky!

I have two helpers also. They are very good at holding things in place. Emmy (14lbs) likes to sit in my lap while I sew. Even loves to be under the quilts or fabric, or even in the tub of fabric. She also has to check out the drawers for lose pipe cleaners. Reggie (17 1/2lbs) is also good at centering himself on the middle of the cutting table while I'm cutting fabric. Mine helpers are kitties.

craftydeb: Yes, I definitely have been blessed with this sewing room. I call it my little piece of heaven. My husband just re-arranged everything for me so it gives me a lot more space and I don't have wires running all over the place. Here's another view...
