Default You know that rumor that CT is discontinuing Essential Pro thread?

Apparently it is true! I saw on another board where a poster said they have been out of white for a year. She was told that they are selling off all their inventory and will not restock. I went to CT and, sure enough, there is no white. I thought this was a baseless rumor when CT took the "Last Chance!" message off the Essential Pro page, but apparently that is not the case. I don't think you can depend on information from customer service, as I have read about different customers getting different answers when they ask about this. Those of you who love Essential Pro might want to stock up on your favorite colors after all!

This is what I read on other boards. The Essential Pro thread was getting very expensive to manufacture and CT couldn't sell it at their price point so after the inventory is gone, it's gone. I noticed there are less color choices available now. Could be internet gossip or true.

It's really sad when one of the products we like to use is no longer available.

they are looking for a comparable replacement- so don't fret too much- when one thread goes away due to increased pricing issues they always find something else to offer that is as good (or better) at the prices they want to offer.

Yes, CT is Connecting Threads. I couldn't fit the whole name in the thread title and hoped people would realize Essential Pro is sold only by Connecting Threads.

I wish they would bring back their variegated threads. I know they used to sell it as I still have one of the older catalogs from when they sold the variegated.
