Sometimes we just need a little "shot in the arm"--whether we "need it" or not. This time you did need it. I'm glad for you.

It was "only" $300, but I'll tell you I bet it lasts a lot lot longer than the Singer Ingenuity I bought for the same price. I remembered that I bought the Singer in '05, it was a fun one but not made for lots of sewing and quilting. I worked that thing over!

Thanks for all your good wishes and wonderful congrats on the new machine. I am loving it, I worked up the ends on 44 neck coolers for the troops today, (now each one gets 4 pockets and water crystals, then sew the other end) did a pillow for Roy's back, and made myself a thread catcher/pin cushion. I have to sandwich and pin those quilt tops next. I can't wait but with Roy feeling poorly I don't want to mis baste anything so I'll wait a day or two.

    Hugs,
    Sharon

Whew !! How can you keep up? I'm tired just reading all you're doing. What are neck coolers? Have I missed something? Sounds like a good project.

I love my Elna, a few months back I got a Elna 7300 pro quilting Queen machine and I absolutely love it. the same thing was happening to me. I was sewing a black and my brother sewing machine went "bang bang ,klunk, klunk" and just died.
Our local dealer gave me a awesome price on my new machine so I could not resist.
I have a Brother PE 700II embroidery machine also. I find I like having one machine for embroidery and while I have something embroidering I can be sewing on the other machine.. I am a multi-tasking person :)

Congratulations on the new machine :)
