When you want a barn quilt and you don't have a barn to put it on! AND when you know the names and locations of all the quilt shops along a route, but can't remember some of the names of the towns! For example our annual trip from North Texas to Colorado.

You and your family are at Disney World for a week...
While waiting in front of your hotel for the bus to take you to Animal Kingdom, you look down and see the brick sidewalk.

    You have..
    1: Taken a Picture
    2: Planned a quilt
3: Decided a 10-Minute Block variation will work perfectly.
...all before you make it to the end of the sidewalk.

    Best of All:
Your husband sees "the look" on your face and calls you out on what you have just done.

BTW: this particular brick work is in front of The Contemporary Resort.

When you go to sleep thinking about a new design you want to create and wake up thinking about it....

I'll bet whoever his tailor is...is a quilter!
I believe he said he made all of his suits himself.

When you come home from a quilting retreat on your 30th anniversary and all you can think of beyond happy anniversary sweetheart is "I made you a quilt top! Can't wait for you to see it" and start unpacking it to show him.
