You know you are a quilter when:

    You chastise yourself for:

    1. Leaving home without your latest hand piecing project and can only think of all the time you are wasting sitting there

    2. Get bored watching your son's little league game cause you forgot your hand work

    3. Have a special bag that now contains your "out of the house" piecing project

    and last by not least

    4. When alone time with your husband comes around, you have to force yourself to concentrate on him and not plan the next quilt project in your head!!!!!

Also have to agree with Dakotamaid. Everywhere I go I can see patterns in floors and sometimes wall tiles. It's funny that we all think alike

Yup! When the long winded speaker at a conference is using a venn diagram to explain something and you are thinking, "If I made that our of purple, teal, and lime, I wonder what color I could put in the middle..." And you are frustrated that you can't pull out your colored pencils right then and there and play around with the idea!

I also took pictures of ancient crypts in a museum in Malta because the carving looked like a nice quilting pattern.

My husband was recently in the hospital and I got fixed on the bio-hazard box with the emblem?/icon? whatever you call that little design. He asked me what I was doing, when I told him, he said "And I'm the one in the hospital?" Hey, I am a quilter and thought it was my duty!!

My daughter's room has been converted to my sewing/computer room
When anyone ask's my dh where I am....he responds "her hole" ......that is usually from his computer room. Do you all think I should call that "his hole"?

... when in order to see you, your husband cooks you dinner and brings it to you in the sewing room and sits and eats there too. Maybe I should put in a small two place table.

So funny....no...wait! My DH and I have matching rocker-recliners in my sew room. He says that it's the only way we can have any time together. He surfs the net or watches tv while I sew. Heh, works for me. 8-)
