Find a piece of thread in your ice cube tray, and in your hair brushes.

Have a trail of threads from the sewing room to the front door.
Have tubs of left over scrap fabric stashed away for when I am in the mood.
The sales gals at most all of the sewing and quilt stores greet you by your first name and a knowing smile.
Organize your fabrics into colors so it is easy to audition them for suitability.
Have more quilt patterns than a city block worth of people.

Oh and the worst ... talking to a friend, looking at their blouse or skirt and thinking I could use that fabric in a quilt I am buying for.

    Need I go on?

When you spot every quilt in the background on tv shows and point them out to your DH......

Everyone in my church no longer looks at me with suspicion in their eyes when I ask them to gift that shirt, tie, etc. to me when they no longer want it.

You know you are a quilter when the fur bunnies disappear under fabric, or become the thread catcher.
You have threads over all your jumpers.
You know you are a quilter when you see pattern every where. You know you are a quilter when watching a film you spy the quilt. What is the pattern colour etc can I make one.
You know you are a quilter when your bucket list fits on more than one toilet roll and if you live to be a thousand will never do them all.
You know you are something when you are always running out of pins.

While standing in line to check out at the grocery store you look down and realize you are covered in thread.

you might be a quilter when you teach your grand kids about proper piecing along with proper brushing, picking up after themselves etc.
You MUST be a quilter when the same grandkids show you beautiful clothes and curtains in a store bc they think it would look good in a project!
YAY! I'm passing on the right traditions!

You might be a Quilter when you lay in bed at night while your DH sleeps and mentally design a new quilt or pick out colors for your current quilt. Then you remember your thoughts in the morning and begin your project when you get up (after coffee, of course :-)).
