Can someone tell me whether there is an easier way to make an applique quilt than TRACING all the pieces. I'm making several blocks from McKenna Ryan's patterns & the most tedious part is tracing the patterns onto fusible interfacing. If that's the only way to do it, I will continue but if someone has a better way, I'd like to hear it!! Thanks!

Could you repost a link to a pic of your quilt that you entered?

    Thanks!
Hi costumegirl! Thank you! I am not sure which quilt picture you wanted to see, so I'm posting links to them both. The bargello, Swish is the one I entered in the contest originally. The Stars quilt is the first Challenge round quilt I made. Here are the links.

Thank you! And I will! I've already PM'd Admin to make sure it's ok with them that I talk about this website at the meeting. I don't see why it wouldn't be, but I'd rather ask first and not end up sorry.

She had seen the article in the McCall's Quilting Magazine! And....Guess What!?!!!? She asked me if I would consider going to Joplin and be their guest speaker at their quilt guild meeting on Oct 19th!!!!! So, I am!!!

She said that she thinks I'd be a good inspiration to the quilters there and she would love to know what possessed me to enter a national competition, especially since I haven't quilted very long! Plus, she's amazed that I made my own pattern to sell too. I told her that the contest was recommended to me by a friend here on the quilting board. She also gets on here, but said she just reads it. She would like me to tell people about this website too, as it is great! I am going to ask Admin to make sure that it is alright. I don't see why it wouldn't be though.

Can you believe this??? I couldn't!!! I had to get on the phone and call all my friends and family to tell them. I'd just called to let them know that I made it to the next round the day before! I'm probably NOT going to like my phone bill next month! LOL I am also going to be compensated for coming!

So! How's that for some interesting news? Thanks for voting for me and all the support and positive feedback I get on here! I really appreciate it! Thanks too for listening!
    Happy Quilting!

I haven't been on this baord long and don't really know anyone yet.But I am thrilled for you and rejoicing with you
    CONGRATULATIONS
Thank you! It won't take you long and you'll know people on here. Everybody on here is sooo friendly and helpful. You are going to be really happy that you found this website. You can learn all kinds of stuff and if you have a problem with something, just post about it and someone will probably have your answer. A woman on here taught me how to oil my sewing machine. Enjoy the site and Welcome!!!
