I don't think I've ever made the same pattern more than once except when I first started. I made a bunch of Trip Around the World for my kids, sister, brother, parents- gosh I haven't made one since!
I get bored with the same pattern, although I want to do another Log Cabin. I've done a couple of those.

I make up a lot of designs. I am now working with scraps, everyone different.

I have been quilting since 1966. I do like Jenny Doan's double slice quilt and have made 12 or thirteen always using different fabrics and colors. Most were for donations. I have a couple for our bed. Out of about 300 quilts most were one and done.

I have made about 5 log cabin, 3 trip around the world, 2 Double Irish chains, 2 Garden twist and these have been for gifts for my family. I have made many 4-patch and Rail Fence and Just Can't Cut It for donation. Of the more complicated ones, once is enough like the one I am working on right now it's a Garden Maze.

One and done....my list is too long. Except, recently I did the Mystery quilt with Judy and that pattern rocks so I may do another one...but not right away.....

I do repeats, repeatedly. Most of my quilts are charity ones for babies and toddlers. They are all simple ones of all kinds of different colors. I like routines and am not easily bored. I think your complicated quilts are beautiful and I envy your skills, but I like the simple ones for me to do. Squares, half-squares, ... I was never good at math.

I usually do one, then move on. I do have a favorite that I call windows, that I will use for the main frame, but different themes & colors

I'm a one and done 95% of the time. I make log cabins and various stars more than once, but they are always different colors and setting.

For personal and gift quilts it is one and done. However, I do quite a lot of charity work with my guild and make DP9 and DP4 quilts because they are fast.

I am on the adventure of a lifetime and I just keep trying new quilt patterns. I have a couple patterns that are "go to" if I need a quick baby quilt. Mostly, I will try a new pattern and use it to give away as a gift.
