i love nearly any color, but i tend to go with "pure" colors, even in pastels. i really dislike some of the recent colorways. it might be because i've lived through them in the past--the "orange/green/pink/turquoise" palette that is so common is driving me nuts. i had to wear that in the early 60s, and hated it then. been there, done that.

I used to be Sally but have had great fun with colors... I'm a BOLD BEATRIX (prefer that name to the other)

I look at my stash and I see pastels, bright primary, solids, prints and everything in between. I love them all.

I am a traditional girl! And my house is a combination of traditional Ethan Allen Country Living (antique pine from the 1980s) & Western. Yes, I left my hubby decorate with bull horns.

Hmmmmm.....good question! What I know about myself....I like clear pastel colors, not "muddied", love to use them with white, love the calming effects of blues and greens and whites together for my personal use, can appreciate the time and effort that goes into the really detailed quilts but prefer the traditional quilt patterns, occasionally like a brighter quilt for a bed as in the one I'm making next but, always with a white background...so, what does that make me???????

Subtle - from the evidence of my quilts, but I love the bolds I see. Sometimes I make a deliberate decision to go bold, and always like the results. End story - 75% subtle, 25% bold.

You're right, everybody has their own style. I do think, however, that styles change and evolve over the years.
I used to use the boring "pick a color and use a dark, medium and light of that color along with a neutral background". Now I really like the "more the merrier" fabric approach.
