    How about figure 8s that loop around the little squares in the blocks and cross in the empty blocks? I agree with everyone who says curves complement your straight lines.

    I would suggest Glorianne Cubbage's "Twice Quilted" method, but it is hard to explain without seeing the book or having watched her do it. I saw her do it on a Fons & Porter program and am going to give it a try this week on a quilt. The finished look is pretty amazing but the technique is very simple.

    Has anyone out there tried this technique? If so, did you enjoy it?
