I too subscribed to the Missouri Star Quilt Company YouTube page. I love some of their videos. They make it look so simple and it encourages me to get in that sewing room of mine and get sewing!!!

GADS!!!! Don't even think that. I just don't know what I would do without it now. I fought getting it for years but now I wonder how I lived without it. Could you imagine todays generation living without computers? I try to tell my boys what it was like for me growing up in the 60's and 70's without everything we have now.

Yes, I use it often, too, and I agree you can learn so much by watching things being done and I'm glad I've got it.

But guess what? I lived the first 60 years of my life without computers, cable TV, cell phones, calculators and all the technical stuff available today, and I still learned to sew, quilt, cook, raise kids, garden - my whole life! So yes, I CAN imagine my life without the internet and it's not really so bad!

Yes! I need the visual to figure things out. Sometimes reading directions just gets me confused and makes my head hurt! Youtube to the rescue!

Yes, especially if there's one for a specific block/pattern that I'm about to make. Use it as a little refresher with pattern/block or even as a way to learn shortcuts/tips on a block/pattern. I'm too much of a visual person so while I am able to read a pattern and can chug my way through it.... if you show me how it is done and my mind does an ah-ha and retains it much better.
