Zentagles is something like structured doodling. If you doodle a lot, you probably already do something like it. This is just a name someone gave to it. Zen + tangles.

Zentangling has been popular in the art quilt world for quite awhile now. There's a free download article on how to do it from Cloth, Paper, Scissors magazine. http://www.quiltingdaily.com/media/p/17250.aspx

There's also an article on zentangle quilting in the current issue of Quilting Arts as well as a lot of info online about how to incorporate it into quilts either through surface design, machine quilting or fusible appliqué. I love it, but I've been doodling like that since forever.

Love the designs in the book but was reluctant to buy it when I saw that it had less than 20 pages. Finally got one of the books at a reduced price. Just couldn't pay full price for it but had to have it!

Our guild is having Pat Ferguson come in and do a Zentangles presentation / trunk show this month and a full workshop the next day.

Pat also has a Zentangles workbook. Just google Pat Ferguson quilts and you can see what she has; don't know how it compares to Susan McNeil.

Not my cuppa tea but I'm looking forward to the presentation!
