Oh my goodness Short and Sweet - that is going to be one beautiful runner! I love what you're doing.

When I used metallic thread I wound it in the bottom bobbin and quilted my quilt upside down.. but I don't embroider.

I don't embroider either but last year for my birthday, my husband got me the Brother SE350 (the smallest combo machine they made) I love it, I'm doing 12 DOC placemats for my sister-in-laws for Christmas also
