I just wanted to let you ladies know, I will only be making 4 sets. I want to make sure to add a few blocks of my own into the finished quilt. I will be making my quilt to thank my Son-in-law for his sacrifice and service. He is deployed overseas. And, due to the area he has been sent, we've been advised not to put it in writing anywhere. His safety is foremost in my mind daily. He has 3 littles and my loving daughter who can't wait for his return. I hope to be able to drop off this quilt to them in the Fall. Hopefully, he will be home by then. His deployment is only supposed to be for a few months. I will pray that that is all it is.

I am loving the creativity of each block. And, have been planning out a nice understated setting so each block shines with your creativity. I will be sure to make a label with each of your names and states so that they will know how much caring went into this quilt.

Thank you all for joining me in this adventure.

Just a few more days till the sign ups will close. If anyone is thinking of joining us, please hop aboard. You can always withdrawal without fear of "bad" feedback. Life sometimes gets in the way. Or, sometimes we get over committed. (As much notice as possible is appreciated, though if you do have to withdraw.)

Awesome! While I am not a participant I love Patriotic colors and am very anxious to see what you all have done! So, you will all get back sets of 4 and make your own quilts? Great job ladies. Can’t wait to see what you make!!!

What an awesome idea! And how meaningful for your SIL. It makes me so happy to know that our work will be included in such a meaningful endeavour. Thanks to your SIL for his service to our country.
