Yea! I am so excited to be entrusted with your center. I am a little nervous because it comes to me first.....Ihope I don't lead it down the wrong path!

I'm sure you will do fine, missgigglewings! I have the mindset that I am NOT going to get stressed out about these borders.
This is not a judged quilt show. In fact, in looking at the center I received, I keep coming back to the thought a plain 3" border would work best next to the intricate center block. "BUT WHAT WOULD EVERYONE THINK?" I pondered. Then I thought of all the quilts I have made with simple borders..... I will continue to contemplate the center, and experiment, and am fairly confident I will come up with the right choice. :)

Quiltingnonie: I got your beautiful center today. The picture posted on here did not do it justice. Its so pretty! I have it hanging on my design wall so I can see every day. Some day it will hit me what I will do with it, right now its happy just hanging out with me! And I am just happy to stare at it!

Oh my, such wonderful - and unexpected -praise! Thank you so much for your generous comments. :) I love the idea that we don't have to rush and get our borders made....being able to study a block and ponder it for days really gets the brain cells lubricated! Enjoy

Hi Everyone,

Just curious if everyone has received their center blocks, and have 'put on their thinking caps'!

I am still waiting on a final decision. I HAVE TO DO IT JUSTICE! I have settled on 2 different fabrics that called out to me, but it was a tie so I don't know which one to choose yet. I am waiting on devine guidance!

Yes ma'am...we are doing fine! But quiltingnonie's center is being stubborn and giving me attitude. Solid color or print? print or solid? both?? See what I mean?? Attitude!!
