Default ~Fun on the Farm~ Block swap : Sign up Closed

This is a swap for anything you might see on a farm! That means things like farm houses, barns, chickens, eggs, pigs, cows, sheep, horses, ducks, gardens, scarecrows, tractors, farmers, goats, canning jars, ladies in aprons doing chores, sunflowers....just to name a few!

The sign-up will be for sets of 6 alike blocks. The limit will be 4 sets per swapper. The swap is now open to sign up for all levels of quilters.
***You WILL NOT receive one of your blocks back for this swap***

*Blocks can be any size divisible by 3" (plus 1/4" seam allowances). Ex. 3.5"x3.5", 3.5"x6.5", 6.5"x6.5", 6.5"x9.5",9.5"x9.5", 9.5"x12.5", 12.5"x12.5", etc.

**limit of 1 set of 3.5" per swapper**

***PLEASE use ...100 percent good quality cotton fabrics... that are prewashed. No muslin or blends please, these will be returned.
Please use nice fabric that you would love to have in your quilts.
I understand that if you are using pre-cuts (jellyrolls, charm packs) may be impossible. Just write a small note and clip to each block to advise the reciever (s). Many fabrics shrink or dyes run... so please do this first step to make our projects something nice after washing and that we can be proud of.

*All applique pieces MUST be sewn down in some manner. Please, no monofilament thread.

*Embellishments: If they are bulky, please put them in a baggie attached to block if needed.

*Plain pieces of fabric are not considered a block and they will be returned to you*

*Place the block sets of 6 into a large plastic baggie marked with your board name. On each block, please attach a slip of paper with your board name on it. We like to know who made it.

*Return Mailing: You need to include $5.30 in stamps or cash for me to mail your return blocks to you. I will supply a PADDED flat rate envelope.

Delivery Confirmation is an extra .75 and I highly recommended it!

*Sign up deadline is September 5, 2012. Blocks need to be "to me" by Sept. 19, 2012. Blocks will be swapped and mailed out by October 1, 2012.

*Please PM me to sign up, and give me # of sets if possible. This is going to be a fun swap! Hope you can join the fun!

Should you have any questions or problems please contact me by pm.

All general rules for swaps are here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-20154-1.htm

Yes, embroidery. They are farm scenes and I have a couple of critter appliques that would be great. Ah ah ah, hold on, didn't say yes yet. The 911 emergency people have not gotten here yet, what you call from Louisianna?

Was purusing my designs late last night waiting for you to make it over Ms. Grace, and found I have a tractor, combine, truck, mill on the meadow, SBS gardening, some chickens, cows, pigs, dogs, vegetables, but just no fun fabric to go along with all that. I would have to add some bright green to frame my blocks or something. Does that work? I believe I do have some wheat type fabric. I do have an applique bunny. Oh yeah, a few redwork farm scenes if those help. Not saying I am signing up or anything, was just looking at what I had to see if I could do this swap.

Well, sorry I haven't made it there yet. Kinda dangling off the edge of the cliff with a flat tire.
    Was dinner good last night?
Your designs sound great. Not that you are signing up or anything....feeling a little twinge in your arm yet?

well, the foot is still stuck in that hole you dug for me. The paramedics have not arrived yet from the other swap. They must have had that four course meal for sure and then took a long nap. I put sombra gel on the sore arm that you are twisting so feels better so twist away, I will find a cure for the aches and pains. I sent the tow truck out to you. They will probably arrive mid August, just before the deadline to pull you out.
