My quilt is finished. Today, I will work on trimming the threads on the back and make the backing. I want to get it sent off to the LA'er soon. I didn't quite make my goal of having it ready to hand deliver as my LA'er is out of town. But, he will get it by the end of the year. I will make the binding and label while I am waiting for it to return home.

This quilt is a King size. Way bigger then I usually make. But, DD informed me that they upsized their bed to a King. My block sashing and cornerstones are 2.5" wide and square. My first border in Blue is 3.5 all the way around and the final Gray/White is 4.5" on the sides and 3.5" on the top and bottom. For a finish of 89" in Width by 100" in length.

Thank you so much ladies. I just LOVE all the blocks and am so proud of how it all came together. I can't wait to hand it over to our soldier.

It's stunning, Judith! You have every right to be proud of it. I know your DD and SIL will love it.

Judith, that is a lovely quilt and very fitting presentation of the blocks.

How nice Judith! I just love the grey choice for the sashing.

Thanks NZ, Battleaxe and Red. I unwittingly chose the Air Force colors of Blue and Gray. It sure worked out for me.

It is lovely how the colors of the blue and gray brings the block variety into a cohesive quilt. I can’t wait to see it quilted and bound. They will cherish it.
