sew cornie, I LOVE your profile pic. I really want to use my 1 1/2" squares to do something like that. Where can I find the pattern? :)

Is that a hummingbird you have there??? My daughter is a falconer [I know - not the same type of bird ...but she is also a wildlife photographer and once when she was doing her falconry 'pest control' at a hotel, ended up taking care of a hummingbird! it had a shiny heart on its chest]

crazy me!!! I dont know how I ended up sending two of these?? I hit edit when I realized it ended up at end of thread rather than right under Mary O's post... ah well. Now that I found the thread ..ahum and thanks to KarenBarnes sending me Missi's address, I will ship the nine sets I have cut tomorrow. Thanks for doing this Missi, and I'm so sorry for your loss too. Our family just experienced five funerals since early August! one of whom has been like a dad since my own father died 44 yrs ago. It's really hard and throws you for a loop - all I can say is thank God for a little faith!

Thank you so much, my fellow Oregonian.
:-D My quilt is just a 9-patch with white alternating squares. I limited my color palette to reds, yellows, greens, and blues. It's my favorite I've ever made. I'm thinking of doing the same thing with the some of the swap squares I receive, but would like to use black instead of white. I think that would be a fun look, especially with brights or jewel tones.
