JNCT14, you are on a roll with your new designs.
Yesterday I stopped at p.o. to mail the Sept. birthdays.. nobody else mailing which is very unusual. New female (very young) working...I mailed two priority packages, using the p.o. supplied envelopes, no problem. Then came my three envelopes and she said they would have to go as packages at $2.90 each....I told her I have been mailing the same things the last 5 months for 86 cents each...... a new man came out of an office while I was talking to her. He took the envelope, looked it over, said nothing and walked away.....so I brought the envelopes home and will try to re-do. Love you guys but it may be cheaper to DRIVE them to you. Will work on packaging...was using Barbara's size envlopes and laying fabric the same way but....They will eventually come you way.

I have been going to the Dollar Tree & purchasing their greeing cards they are .50 cents each...get the largest ones they have...I divide the candies into 6 piles very straight & neat... wrap them in clear plastic leaving one side open...then I place the card on top and squeeze & slide my hand over the card to get all the air out..it will puff out the open side then I quickly fold that side over and it is as flat as can be..place that inside the greeting card & then in the envelope..I weigh mine before posting them & they have never gone over 1.9 oz... cards can be posted if they weigh up to but not over 2 oz for .66 cents...I've been using up my odd value stamps as long as it's over .66 cents...I would rather include a card instead of having to pay package postage..All they can feel is a card when they handle it..

I use #10 envelopes and pack similar to the way Honchey does. Although the oz dictates only .66 cents, they add .20 cents more for handling because of thickness. Ask to speak to a supervisor next time. It seems that the rules aren't consistent or new hires don't know them.

My dining room table was getting so full of candy envelopes that I decided I couldn't wait until they all arrived before opening them. Thanks for all the wonderful candy that was sent. I had tons of fun opening and sorting.

Nice picture. Hope you had a great birthday!! I have experienced the same problem with the post office. My clerks are all seasoned employees. I usually just put 86 cents worth on them on my own. I then write on the envelope "Non machineable". I did this for several swaps here and I hope no one had to pay the difference.

whoops no contest last week...my son and family moved last weekend so I was busy helping them and feeling sorry for myself. Very sad that my grandbabies are so far away (2.5 hours) (they use to be 1 mile away) my grandson (3years) took one of my dish towels and gave it hugs and kisses and told me that it was my bubbie and I should take to bed like he does. So yep...memaw is sleeping with a dish towel!!!!
I will post a contest in a few minutes....
