It's only 32 days until October 15. Not too much time to finish up. :)

That's what I've been wondering too. Everyone working hard to finish up the quilt they have?????

I'm getting ready to head back to Arizona this week, so have been busy packing up fabric and fun stuff to take with me.

So - I completed Amanda's row and was getting ready to attach it to the quilt...

I wasn't sure how happy I was with it - but thought it matched the rows already there pretty well, and...

My DH comes into the dining room and says... You're not going to put that row on there are you????

UGH!!! I'm still working on it...

LOL - thanks Judy.... I trust his judgement immensely. He comes by his artistic eye naturally. His father was a painter, sculptor and carver. Carl has some of those talents also - so... I'll adjust it. He had some good suggestions.

    Hallelujah! I am so relieved!

I have had the worst case of "Quilter's Block" - and not the good kind of block. The bad kind where nothing I did seemed right and I couldn't figure out what to do. But tonight, I finally had my eureka! moment.

I think that the pattern I had chosen just didn't work well with the fabrics I had chosen. Tonight, I went back to the drawing board and found something that I think works really well. I got one block done right away, and I think I'll have no trouble finishing the row up this weekend, because I'm really excited to work on it now and see how it turns out.

By this time next week, I hope that you will have your quilt back in your hands Theresa!

OK, I bribed the kids with play-doh and new crayons and they let me spend the morning sewing... My Jeweled Ribbon addition to Theresa's Jewels quilt top is complete! The pattern I chose is much simpler that what I originally planned, but my fabrics didn't work well with the original plan. And, I think this balances out the quilt top nicely colorwise and shapewise. (I probably executed this better than I would have the other as well!)

Anyway, here it is - Theresa, I hope you like it! It will be heading home to you early next week!

That turned out beautiful, Lara. Glad you were able to settle on something you liked and then it worked so well. I can't wait to see all these quilts finalized. I am getting soooooooooooo anxious to see mine.
