So glad we have until July for this swap! I was finishing up on a quick project for my daughter and about to start sewing on the border for my partner's quilt and my sewing machine started acting up. It was making funny Loud noises and my stitches were skipping. I was able to take it in to the shop and they will look at it Monday and hopefully find out what is wrong. So I guess I will catch up on my reading.

ll previously sewn blocks corrected--will finish sewing and appliqueing this week and top will be constructed and ready for borders. May the quilting fairy look kindly upon my efforts and not let more stumbling blocks threaten my progress.

Hello ladies. I haven't checked in for awhile. I have been busy. I went back to work at Jo Ann Fabrics. One of the big stores in the tourist section of Kissimmee Florida. Want to give a shout out to the British ladies I have been blessed to meet. I have given them this site to check out. Been be having by not buying fabric...yet that is. Been going to some go cart races. My grandson races go-karts and is number two in the US and is now trying to win world series in his category. Then if he does he gets to race in New Orleans for the biggest race of races for go carts. He has been racing 1 1/2 years now. Hannah , my granddaughter, has read her first book by herself sounding out words. She just turned 5 but oh how grown up she acts. Always writing and carrying her books around. Kids grow so fast. So I am off to cut and sew and sew and cut. You all have a great evening and may the week be pleasant for you. The weather here has finally broken and the days are a warm 80 and the evenings a cool 60's. Last night I came home and sat outside and listened to the crickets and let the breeze gently tug at me as if begging me to play. The sky was full of stars and the clouds were scattered here and there in different shades of greys. The dogs chased each other around and then would go to the door and look at me as if asking to go back in to go to bed. But then the dampness set in and I didn't want these old bones to start aching so I came inside. So may you all find a little peace or piece at the end of your day. Angel Wings, Butterfly Kisses and Faere Dust for all!

I'm here!!! I'm here!!! Sorry I went MIA for a while. Life has gotten way too far in the way. Been thinking about y'all. Got my block pieces sewn together, need to sew the sewn pieces together to form the blocks and then assemble the blocks in an eye pleasing arrangement. I love the way the ones that are done have come out!!! Then on to borders. Got a nifty AccuQuilt Go! die that I have fallen in LOVE with!!! Gonna try it out for the borders.

Well I am sorry to say that my quilt top took a turn for the Frog! I had not even realized it until I had it hanging on my wall but I put two whole rows on backwards! UGH, so now I get to ripit, ripit ripit...

I was so excited thinking I was ready to sandwich. Libby, I hope you are not way ahead of me! But I should catch up soon as I finish a few other pressing projects!

Backing! Awe Darn I know I had some I picked out but where is in now? Well if I can't find it easily i will be getting something new and fresh! I am not always so scatter brained, just most of the time!

    I need Chocolate~

Darn It!!! I'm at a stand still, my 301 sewing machine that I do FMQ on is on the blink...had to order parts, waiting on them and then DH can get to working on it.....might have to try something else...Thank goodness not due until July.

Peggy, if I worked at JoAnns, all of my money would go on material..LOL I have to make myself drive pass the quilt shops and Hancocks, we don't have a JoAnns, darn it...But when I go to Montgomery, I always stop by JoAnns.

Well, its going to be nice today, so I'm going to plant my new Blackberries..and do some other gardening. Bye to All

Not a chance I am ahead of you. Had a couple set backs of my own. I am still plodding along. Good thing I have a couple of months left to get my act together..... Ditto on the chocolate. Back to the sewing room tomorrow. It is a fun top, just haven't paid attention like I should have.

I wish we had a store lol.. ok we have a couple stores in the town nearby like a grocery store and a thrift store! and farther up the hill we have Ace hardware which doesnt help my quilting to very much.. good thing there is the internet. I buy all my things online ok 95 percent of what I have I buy online. the rest is gifted to me and how lucky is that? I love gifted fabrics

I have the top ready, the backing came in now I just need batting to go on sale. anyone see a good batting sale let me know the one I tried to order from JoAnns sale is out of stock. waiting for new stock to come in can't guarantee me the sale price (argh). but it should be in my hands before May I hope. Then its quilt it time and send it. Goal is May 15th. I should be able to make that goal no troubles Sorry you had such a slow partner Twinrivers. Yesterday again I had a little run to the hospital for an emergency angioplasty. Love when that happens. getting old these little hospital runs just got out last week. sheesh. I have done my share and a lot of yours too. I am ready to pass that baton now anytime. arm extended? what no takers? darn it.

new blackberry bushes? oh I am coming to your house next year to go berry picking! I love blackberry jam!!

My quilt is quilted now (for QuilterMomma).....all that needs to be done is the binding....had a longarm quilter tell me that when you use the backing for binding it makes for a stronger quilt...don't know if that's true, but that's what I do almost exclusively. Hope it passes muster.
