Wow, now what a tease, now if that was my DH's back, well........
I finished your top today, got the back ready, and the binding is ready. I have a king on the longarm right now for a customer and as soon as it is done, yours will be on. I am going to push myself to get done and hopefully mail it. We will set for the time as is, but will try to be early before you leave.

my partner was easy to make a quilt for. She said surprise me, I will like anything. Try something new and I did. I hope she won't be disappointed.

My partner and I have exchanged PMs about mailing - no date set, but both of us are ready. I guess the question is to wash or not to wash (pardons to Mr. Shakespeare). That's what partner and I are discussing. I've always loved the crisp look of the fresh made quilt before that first wash, but I do agree with Nexxus about the look even after the wash. Oh, well, waiting for Jane to respond so I can make that move, otherwise, I'm ready to mail and pretty excited about it, too!!

I also stitch by hand, but I find it I press it back it's alot eaiser to stitch to the back by hand.

I have zero luck with machine stitching binding on so I after its machined to the front I hand stitch it so its even, no off the edge sewing at all.. that bothers me too much even though tis so much easier.. just me

Libby, how about mailing on the 10th of June... LOL just to be different! Actually I will also be out of town weekend of the 15th, but I am ready now so let me know what works for you. I will send a pm. I can't believe it is almost 4 am. I just finished up a tee shirt quilt order, gotta start cranking them out I have a job! As a seamstress for a Fashion Consultant who is really into retro clothing! Most of what she deals in is the 60's and 70's. but I have some awesome 50's outfits to alter also. She said it is not a full time job, but Dang looks like it to me! The pay is excellent and I can work at 4 in the morning if I want! Gotta love when you have a job and go to work in your jammies!

Quilting is my first love, but working on costumes is a pretty close second! She might even let me make some outfits from scratch if we find the right patterns! Yippie... Ok I think I might go to bed now LOL

NO tease pictures Marybeth? I am so happy you have found a little something to fill your hours that actually pays too! and fifties clothing? OMG I love it. So.. I love lucy. I watched an episode the other day and that woman was well built. tiny legs, waist and a chest with those goofy bras they wore then that everyone was.. cone like ? and the dresses oh the dresses .. total envy. Not much a fan of that show but if you check it out she had some Bloomingdales/Neiman Marcus top line dresses on. fit like a glove. My mom used to go by those stores.. look in the window come home and sew herself a dress like she saw. She too was fit as a fiddle and when I was in highschool I had to cram myself into her Sonya Heni (spell check) satin ice skating dress. gorgeous hot pink rhinestones.. and get this.. I had a 19 inch waist and I had to suck it in to fit wowsa. .. woman were built a whole lot different from today. I like to say its nutrition that did it. sigh... ok that was fairly random but it took me back down memory lane. wish I had a pic. it was adorable that dress..
